Being that this weeks theme is woman who inspire you, I thought I would try to stay on theme this week.
One woman who inspires me greatly is my best friend. She battled Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma for 2 years all while having a baby. She was diagnosed with one of the most aggressive forms of lymphoma while she was pregnant with her first child. She underwent several rounds of chemotherapy, some while pregnant, and then underwent a stem cell transplant in 2006. Through it all she was amazing, never complained about anything. There was a time that normalcy as making trips to Doctors appointments, the hospital and having runs of chemotherapy. I am so happy to say that my best friend has been in remission since 2006 and life is "normal" again. I feel honored to be her friend and to have had the chance to be by her side through it all, and to see her little girl grow and develop into an amazing 2 year old. By best friend truly is an inspiring woman!
The first shot is of my friend and her baby girl, Hannah. The second was set up on a tripod yesterday, with all three of us.
